Arts
Arts Pillar
The Arts Pillar supports artists, promotes creativity, stories, and engages communities by providing funding, resources, and educational programs. Arts programs provide benefits such as improved academic performance, enhanced social-emotional skills, and increased school engagement. Art also develops critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and motor skills, while reducing disciplinary issues and boosting confidence. Additionally, arts can foster greater interest in school and college goals, especially for disadvantaged students. We wholly understand that creative expression promotes personal wellness and community care. We support all categories, including visual arts (painting, pottery, sculpture, photography), performing arts (music, dance, theater), applied arts (design, architecture, gardening, crafts), literary arts (poetry, prose), culinary arts, and digital arts (computer-generated images, web development, and video games).
“We nurture Spirits that bring beauty to community and conveys our unique stories.”

Support for Artists:
We strive to empower artists to pursue their creative work and build sustainable careers.
Provide financial support: We offer grants, fellowships, and awards to individual artists and organizations to alleviate financial pressures and fund new projects.
Foster artistic development: We help facilitate residencies that provide artists with studio space, materials, and time to focus on their craft.
Nurture emerging talent: With the Educational Pillar, we offer scholarships and educational programs to help young and emerging artists develop their skills and professional pathways.
Provide resources and counsel: We assist artists with career development, networking opportunities, and navigating the complexities of the art market.
Cultural Development and Heritage:
We play a critical role in preserving artistic heritage and promoting our local cultural growth.
Preserve legacies: As an artist-endowed foundation, we can help manage the assets of a deceased artist, including their works and intellectual property, to ensure their legacy endures.
Steward collections: We can help acquire, conserve, and exhibit works of art for the public benefit, with the Getty Foundation serving as a prominent example.
Encourage innovation: We promote artistic research and support experimental or less established art forms to push creative boundaries and help bring a community together.
Enhance cultural discourse: We can host public talks, seminars, displays, performances, and other forums to facilitate critical discussion and intellectual engagement with contemporary artistic practices.
Community Engagement:
We focus on engaging the public and making the arts more accessible.
Democratize access: We can help fund community art projects, festivals, and educational workshops to bring artistic experiences to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Amplify diverse voices: We can help support underrepresented artists and communities, creating an inclusive environment that addresses historic marginalization.
Enrich communities: By supporting public art and local arts initiatives, we can help revitalize neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for residents.
Promote education: We can provide arts education to students, often partnering with schools, to expand artistic understanding and skill development.
Recognize. Annually recognize community members who provide exceptional arts and cultural opportunities or services.
Social and Philanthropic Impact:
Our artistic goals can extend to addressing broader social issues.
Inspire social change: We can help utilize art to explore and raise awareness of social issues and promote dialogue. For instance, we might commission a work or project that addresses a significant social concern, such as poverty.
Empower marginalized communities: Through initiatives, we can help provide an artistic voice to traditionally underrepresented populations.
Catalyze collaboration: We can foster cross-sector partnerships with other nonprofits, businesses, and government agencies to maximize artistic impact.
