Matt Leavitt
Treasurer and Board Member
Matt was raised up from deep sawdust piles and hardened on the mean streets of the Kamas Valley. He enrolled in the South Summit School District to fulfill the compulsory requirements imposed by the Utah educational system. After meeting the demanding requisites, he became the second-oldest child in his family to graduate from the program. He furthered his education by attending Weber State University and receiving a degree in business administration.
Matt started non-profit work at the local farmer’s cooperative as the business manager and accountant. After a couple of years at the cooperative, he went on to work as the chief financial officer for Mountain Regional Water, a newly created special service district of Summit County. He was later transferred to Summit County, where he became the accountant and subsequently the chief financial officer.
In his spare time, he enjoys going back to his roots, creating sawdust and rolling in the man glitter before tracking it into the house, much to his wife's exuberance. Together, they enjoy raising many animals on their small half-acre farm and finally relaxing as empty nesters.
